Speed Tribe is a massively visceral audio visual journey into one of the most grueling races in the world. Shot on location at the 2001 Le Mans, Speed Tribe captures the human and racing experience of Le Mans, and serves as a moving contemplation on the will and focus of man and the speed, technology and endurance required of high-performance racing in general.
The double-disc DVD/CD set contains 50 minutes of videos in both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 surround sound, 40 minutes of extra material, and a 65-minute companion CD soundtrack. Special DVD features include exclusive interviews with drivers Frank Biela, David Brabham and John Nielsen, interactive menus, and both interactive and looping playback. Digital filmmakers Rod Chong and Sharon Matarazzo are huge motorsports fans, and their passion for the sport shows on Speed Tribe.
The original music on both the DVD and CD is composed and mixed by legendary Belgian producers Daniel Bressanutti and Patrick Codenys of Front 242. Speed Tribe is their first-ever surround sound release, featuring a fusion of specially composed electronica, urban beats and ambient soundscapes. Speed Tribe truly represents how electronic music will be created and experienced in years to come.
