From here the character of the car is massaged with refinements made to the shape of the body, placement of details such as ducts and shut lines. Careful study of various photos reveals the evolution of the real car as changes were made throughout its racing life. These may be applied in versions of this model... several Silk Cut variants and the IMSA GTP Castrol car are possibilities.

Next steps are be to define the top view forms and dimensions as well as sort out the inner structures of the chassis, Process, Part Two: Getting beneath the skin. Then it's on to a simple paste-up of the illustrations to get a sense of the car's form in three dimensions.
