Prototyp : Model : Jaguar XJR-10 / 11
Process, Part One
Introduction - 1 2
The XJR-10 / 11 was Jaguar's answer to the dominant turbo cars, powered by their own twin-turbo V-6. Of course it was obsolete before it ever turned a wheel as the FIA announced a ban on turbo cars effective in 1992. TWR proceeded anyhow and this car ran in both European and American sprint races (with sporadic success), while the older normally-aspirated XJR9/12 ran in the endurance events.
Resources for this model are Ian Bamsey's Jaguar XJR book (for general tub guidelines), Ulrich Upietz and Gustav Büsing's World Sportscar Racing '89, and Ken Well's Jaguar Victory '90 as well as several web sites (see: Links). The work you see here was done using Illustrator 9.0 and Photoshop 5.5.   These are the first steps in producing the model > >
