Perhaps a year is a very long time to produce a model... certainly there is impatience in waiting for it to be ready. However, there has been tremendous progress and evolution in the quality of the model from where the project began, and this time has been necessary.

The XJR11 is the first completed Prototyp model, so the one from which there have been the most lessons to learn. All the subsequent models will benefit from this exploratory period as paper technique and model design and the building process have developed.

Of the current Prototyp projects, the Sauber C9 will be extensively revised, Toyota Eagle MkIII and Audi R8 have been thoroughly researched and are in the works, waiting.

Details which were never originally intended to be present on the model like brake calipers and engine plumbing have been created. They add significantly to the realism and overall quality of the finished piece as well as illustrating the subject's important mechanical systems.
